A love letter to the city that raised me. Ras Al Khaimah — RAK for short — is a city north of Dubai, away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. There's a saying: "RAK and the world is behind you." It felt that way over the many years I roamed its streets and alleyways. It's the place that shaped me. As we grow up and change, so does the place we once knew. I didn't like that. The city is already showing signs of change, but the old relics, faces, and emotions are still there. Until they're not. That's why I've made it my mission to ensure they don't disappear behind shiny new cafes and tourist attractions. This city is unique and historic — maybe not as much as other ancient cities around the world, but it is important to me.
