A three-time winner of the Hawaii Newspapers Association Excellence in Journalism awards, and a former Washington, DC-based print reporter for The Weekly Standard, C. Robert Stump began his journalism career as an intern at Hawaii's largest daily newspaper, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. He also served as an editor of Biblical Archaeology Review, a nonsectarian magazine on archaeology in the Middle East.
Robert has appeared on CNN; "Your World with Neil Cavuto," on the Fox News Channel; National Public Radio; and C-SPAN's "Washington Journal.” He has lectured at the Aspen Institute, New Mexico State University, the Institute for Electric Innovation, and a host of other venues. Robert has received awards for his advocacy work from the Alzheimer’s Association, the Arizona Association of Homes and Housing for the Aging, the Autism Society of America and the March of Dimes.
Trained academically as a philosopher, Robert holds degrees from Harvard, Oxford, and the University of California, Berkeley. He studied world religions at the University of Hawaii.
He has photographed with Nikon F and Leica M and SL cameras, as well as 4x5 view cameras.
