I am a Fine Art Photographer and Visual Artist of Bajan descent, born and raised in Queens, New York.At the heart of my work lies a deep inquiry into the nature of love, love lost, and forgotten identity. My process often begins with quiet, intimate photographs—still lives or staged memory-scapes—that are then distressed, veiled, and reimagined. This practice navigates the complex intersection of past and present, meditating on themes of heritage, childhood, and the persistence of memory. My layered works evoke a sense of suspended time—offering viewers a space to reflect on what remains unspoken, what is buried beneath beauty, and what quietly endures. My Fine Art/ Mixed Media work explores the emotional architecture of memory, identity, and inheritance. Rooted in photography but transformed through material alchemy, my pieces are layered compositions that incorporate archival pigment prints, melted wax, oil paint, natural pigments, and found objects. Many of my photographs possess a painterly quality, where the careful interplay of color and light evokes the richness of a fine painting. With every piece, I invite the audience to revel in the beauty of her carefully crafted visuals, reflecting a harmonious blend of her Caribbean heritage and contemporary artistic vision..My photographs have graced the pages of photography books and illuminated galleries in NYC and Miami, each image a testament to the profound simplicity and subtle complexity of our surroundings.
