Art collectors and curators often remark that Dennis’s expressive and emotionally charged photographs are reminiscent of the Impressionists, while capturing light and its effect on the landscape with a contemporary vibrancy.
While color and light are central to his photography, Dennis also explores the subtler narratives within nature. Much of his work is a microcosm—a photographic story that transcends geography and speaks universally to collectors, no matter where they live.
Says Dennis, “When I capture an image, it is my hope that it evokes a visual experience for the viewer. My interest is in the natural details—how the environment on a particular day, in a particular light, and at a particular moment in time correlates to my personal vision and interpretation of nature.”
While nature remains his focal point, Dennis intentionally presents his abstracts and landscapes in ways that stand out, transforming photography into a medium of emotional connection. After two decades of exploring landscapes and abstractions, his intention remains constant: to create art that resonates deeply and endures over time.
My goal is simple: for a Sabo artwork cherished today to hold its meaning and beauty decades from now. When art endures in this way, his purpose as an artist is fulfilled.
