Photograph by Giandomenico Veneziani
Giandomenico Veneziani was born in Bisceglie, a seaside town in Puglia. He graduated with a degree in Marketing from the University of Bari. He began his career as a self-taught photographer, exploring photography at a young age. Over time, he learned various techniques and the infinite possibilities of artistic creation. His photographic experimentation found broad expression during his travels in Europe, Asia, and South America. In 2019, he created a personal photographic project titled "El Camino - Faces and places around Sacred Valley," set in Peru. He draws inspiration from people, their stories, faces, and emotions. For him, photography is an important means of sharing the feelings and stories of his subjects. He especially loves drawing inspiration from music, painting, books, and films. To enrich his knowledge, he passionately and attentively studies the most important photographers who have shaped history, drawing closer to the great masters of fashion photography. In this field, he seeks to create unique and unconventional shots, imbuing his work with a cinematic vision, striving to create surreal and dreamlike atmospheres. Over the years, he has achieved significant results in international competitions such as 35Awards, The Independent Photographer, Lensculture, AllAboutPhoto, PX3, IPA, TIFA, BIFA, Monochrome Awards, reFocus Awards, and Minimalist Photography Awards. In 2024, he represented Italy as a national judge in the final round of the 35Awards competition. He has also been published extensively in fashion magazines such as GQ, Harper's Bazaar, L'Officiel, Iconic Artist, Lewis Magazine, Kaltblut, Nasty Magazine, Flanelle, and Rebel. He has published several photographic works in PhotoVogue. He has exhibited his work in art galleries in New York, Paris, Sapporo, London, Milan, Turin, Rome, and Venice.
