Thomas Dezelus was born by the seaside of Brittany, France. He is a Paris-based artist, multidisciplinary designer, and musician whose medium format photography explores the interplay between surface, light, and space.
His Mamiya 645, often mounted on a tripod, serves as a lantern, walking stick, and constant companion during his nocturnal walks and hikes.
With a strong background in menswear, graphic design, and brand image—and a lifelong passion for cinema—these influences converge in his photographic practice, particularly in his approach to landscape and night photography, where he captures visual narratives shaped by silence and atmosphere.
Photography has become his way to engage with the world at a slower, more intuitive pace—each image conceived to endure and evoke.
Thomas’s work has gained international recognition: his photographs have been selected by Leica and exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris (June 2025). His night series from Taiwan and Hong Kong has also been recognised by the Urban Photo Awards and will be shown at the Trieste Photo Fringe Days in Italy (October 2025). He is also the Gold Winner in the Lomography category of the Analog Sparks Awards.
