Street Photography Award Editors' Picks

“The knack is to find your own inspiration and take it on a journey to create work that is personal and revealing.” -Martin Parr

Following the results of last month’s street photography award judged by acclaimed Magnum photographer Martin Parr, we are sharing some of the competition entries that didn’t make it to the final round but impressed us by their overall strength and quality.

India, Italy, Russia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Korea, and more: we discovered an incredible variety of street stories from all over the world and it was a pleasure to see photographers respond to the theme in so many ways. Daily scenes showing tenderness within family situations, candid moments of friendship, meticulously timed and framed scenes, and unexpected situations.

Photographers have shown versatility and a great eye for composition using both classic and experimental technics, through digital and film cameras and we’re delighted to feature the 12 artists presented here.
