Editors' Picks Travel Award

“Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world.” – Gustave Flaubert

Following the results of last month’s Travel Award, judged by American photographer Steve McCurry, the editorial team wants to share some of the competition entries that didn’t make it to the final selection round but showed an magnificent set of skills and made a strong impression.

The competition was a great success with submissions coming from all corners of the planet and we received an incredible range of stunning and utterly inspiring works. Although we couldn’t give an award to every entrant, we are thrilled to share some of the many talented photographers whose images struck us and are well worthy of exposure.

Thanks again to all of you for taking part in the award and sharing with us such beautiful images!
