“Keirin” - Naha, Japan
In 1948, the first-ever Keirin race was held at Kokura velodrome in Kyushu. The dynamic races at speeds of up to 70kph (45mph) and the fun of predicting winners have long been enjoyed by fans. It is now an official Olympic event, brought to the world by Japan. © Balázs Sipos

“When the angels sound their trumpets” Bolivien
This photograph was created during my photography expedition to Bolivia in 2024, at the Uyuni Salt Flats - a vast desert covered with a thin layer of water. My working approach, which I call Art Expedition, is simple: I arrive at a new place with no fixed plan. I absorb its atmosphere, observe its rhythm, meet local people, and let the concept emerge naturally from what I experience there. In each location, I create a collection of photographs and videos based on this process. In Bolivia, I was struck by the carnival - its colors, faces, and gestures. Among the crowd, I noticed a group of trumpet players with huge white instruments. I invited them to the salt flats near the village, where the landscape gave their presence an otherworldly and surreal feeling. © Julia Buruleva

“Beauty”
Forced to abandon her van, an adventurer walks alone into a hostile jungle. A contrast between raw danger and playful aesthetics. The image explores the tension between a dramatic situation and a stylized mise-en-scène. The elegant dress, high heels, and artificial set against the peril express my desire to transform reality into a vision both serious and optimistic. … Created from a handcrafted miniature set photographed in a studio and combined with a portrait shot. © Agnès Doolag

“Jump!”
Passionate about capturing the world from above, I use aerial photography to reveal everyday scenes in a striking new light—transforming the familiar into the extraordinary with each drone flight. © Yevhen Kostiuk

“Bajao boys in mangrove forest” - Southeast Asia
Three joyful children of the Bajao tribe are playing in a mangrove forest by the sea. With water up to their knees and roots rising around them, they smile and pose freely, wearing simple goggles that hint at their adventurous spirit. The dense green trees behind them blend into the bright blue sky and the calm sea, creating a peaceful and lively scene. The boys seem at home in nature, enjoying the water and the moment without any distractions. Their laughter, curiosity, and connection to their environment shine through the photo. It’s a pure and heartwarming glimpse into childhood — wild, free, and deeply connected to the natural world. © Sanghamitra Sarkar

“In the Stillness of Waiting - The Stillness of Expectation”
There is a quiet magic in the stillness of waiting: not mere delay, but a deliberate state of suspension between movement and pause. Time stretches, expectation and introspection blur into one another, and in the absence of event, a charged kind of poetry begins to unfold. Photographed analogously with a 6x6 camera. © Renzo Cicillini
