“Black & White Work” is a retrospective series from Paris based French photographer and photojournalist José Nicola’s most acclaimed black and white images.

Shot over a period of 15 years from the early 1980’s while he was working as a photojournalist and war photo-reporter for the French Photo agency Sipa Press, these iconic images cover some of the most notorious moments of the second half of the 20th century.

From the development of central African countries, the Somali civil war to political turmoil in Kurdistan and Afghanistan: These photographs have largely contributed to raise awareness and bring attention to some of the major political and social events of that period.
