Kai Hornung is a German-based photographer, whose extraordinary landscape images showcase the immense beauty of the natural world. He has won a number of international awards, including, Photograph of the Year at the 2020 Premi internazionali per il fotografo paesaggista dell'anno, whilst two of his images were also shortlisted for the Sony World Photo, Premio per il paesaggio in 2020. His work has been frequently published in magazines such as National Geographic, Geo, Elementi, E Condé Nast.

His approach is underpinned by a desire to make images that “sing”, be it grand and dramatic, or small, abstract moments in which he quiets the chaos that surrounds us. Furthermore, in addition to his photography, he is a writer and teacher, who regularly pens essays on landscape photography, and leads photography workshops.
