    Judge: Mustafah Abdulaziz

    New York City-born Mustafah Abdulaziz is an award-winning photographer who has spent the last seven years exploring and documenting the world’s relationship to water.

    Simply titled ‘Water’, this ongoing project has received support from a host of partners, including NGOs, WaterAid and WWF; the Alicia Patterson Foundation (who provided him with a grant for the project) as well as The United Nations, and Google. A selection of the images has been published in The New Yorker, the Guardian, and TIME, amongst others.

    Over the course of his career, he has received numerous awards and accolades including, the 2019, Leica Oskar Barnack Award. His work has been published in the likes of  The New York Times, Monocle, Newsweek, Le Monde, and National Geographic and he was the first contract photographer for The Wall Street Journal.
