I am a Romanian photographer exploring the deep and diverse nature of human beings. I take the freedom to experiment and look for people, expressions, feelings and states that can trigger introspection in myself and the viewers. Much inspired by cinematography, I seem to find comfort in a sort of dream-like atmosphere. My relationship with photography is rooted in the Bucharest film school, followed by an apprenticeship on film sets. For a couple of years, I did street photography, trying to catch emotions and hunt for street glimpses that felt intimate, authentic and fleeting. Later on, I transitioned to documentary photography, approaching socially relevant subjects in my country. I see photography as a means to shed light upon individuals living on the fringe and influence the way they are seen by the majority of people.
