I am an award winner professional photographer based in Montreal, Canada and New York City. I have been using photography as a means to communicate my vision for over 25 years. I am retired from the pharmaceutical industry, which has allowed me to travel extensively. Nine years ago (in 2015), I was diagnosed with so-called early-onset Parkinson's disease. This was the spark that pushed me to live my life to the full. So I quit my day job, creating a life I'm proud of. As Parkinson's continues to strike me, I continue to respond in kind. Today, I'm sitting in a hotel room overlooking the Philadelphia Convention Center, waiting to chat with clinicians who are developing a radical new approach to treatment. At the same time, I'm also planning my photographic travels. I'm often quoted as having a special or different eye, which to me is synonymous with opportunism. And I like to do it in places like the street and other places where I can be exposed to energy. As my friend Sonia pointed out, Parkinson's disease allows me to live my passion for photography as I get older. I hope my journey will inspire you to get out there and live your own life boldly.
