Cristina was born in Romania and now lives in Milan. Scholastic and sporting success led to her obtaining a sports diploma. Following the fall of communism in Romania, the arrival of fashion and travel magazines aroused her passion for aesthetics and interest in nature and humanitarianism. At 18 she accepted an invitation to work as a model in Italy. However, she soon discovered the path for her was on the other side of the lens. She started her career in photography by completing a 2-year course at the distinguished Italian Institute of Photography. Here she collaborated with models, stylists and make-up artists, refining her photographic language in search of her own, recognizable style. She has recently undertaken international assignments to expand her photographic range. These include capturing award-winning scenes at Everest Base Camp, village life in Madagascar and city life in Hong Kong. Her work has won impressive competitions and invitations to display her photographs at several high-profile exhibitions in Italy. She is represented by and exhibits at the Still Gallery in Milan.
