I received his first Nikon over 30 years ago from my father. It sits on a shelf in my studio, alongside my father’s Canon, and it inspires me every day to hone my skills as a photographer and to always appreciate the beauty that surrounds me. I have had the good fortune to travel and explore many parts of North America, allowing my to pursue my love of the art of photography and capture some of Mother Nature’s finest offerings. I had spent 8 years living and working in the U.S. in such places as, Southern California and Northern Arizona before I returned home in 2020 to Canada and making Eagle Lake, Ontario my new home base. Using light to capture feeling and create mood, I hope to take others beyond the obvious of the photo’s setting and give them a new perspective and appreciation of the wonderment of nature. Over the past decade, my photography has been published in National Geographic 12 times and in the Arizona Daily Sun, Arizona Highways Magazine & Discovery HD and I've had images featured on NBC Los Angeles and Phoenix. I had long standing exhibits at the Laguna Gallery of Contemporary Art and Forest and Ocean Gallery in Laguna Beach, California and have had showings at the Newport Beach Art Exhibition. In 2017, I received the honour of being a featured photographer in the Smithsonian Exhibition in Washington, DC to celebrate the 100 Year Anniversary of Yellowstone National Park. 2024 proved to be a great year not only with multiple photo expeditions around the world, but I also received one gold, one silver and four bronze medals in the 2024 Epson International Pano Awards in Australia. I also finished the year strong with a 1st place finish in the Canadian Wildlife Federation’s “Reflections of Nature” photography competition.
