My first camera was Yashika GSN-35 rangefinder camera. I bought it while I was in the Navy. That was when I discovered what I could do with a camera and the world around me. Then I discovered digital pictures and and later became a map maker. It requires a good eye to see what can become an exciting and memorable picture as both a map maker and picture taker. All of my early work disappeared in the great flood that happened in Hurricane Katrina while I was living in New Orleans. There are a few stills out there from my old prints that I shared with friends and have since been digitized. Nowadays, I just use my iPhone for pictures and review and edit my pictures on my iMac. The positive thing is that I strive to take good pictures. I'm also thankful that I haven't spent thousands of dollars on bad shots pictures I would have had to pay to have developed, had I still been using film instead of a digital camera.
