I was born into a family where resilience and service defined our existence. My father, Mohiuddin Ahmed, was not just a diplomat but a freedom fighter who fought for justice and truth. Growing up with his stories of sacrifice and struggle, I developed an innate need to document the world as I saw it—to capture the unseen, the unheard, and the forgotten. Photography became my language when words felt inadequate. My journey as a photographer was not planned. It was born from a moment of quiet realization—the understanding that a single image could hold a universe of emotions, a story that words could never fully articulate. I was drawn to the unspoken, the raw and unfiltered expressions of life, the fleeting moments that disappear before most people notice them. Light and shadow became my tools, emotion my subject. I have always been captivated by human suffering, resilience, and the invisible battles people fight daily. My work often focuses on marginalized individuals, survivors of domestic violence, and those trapped in silence. Their stories deserve to be told, and my lens is my way of amplifying their voices. My time working with BRAC exposed me to the harsh realities of poverty and oppression. Seeing the struggles of the voiceless firsthand reinforced my belief that photography is not just about aesthetics; it is a responsibility. An image can be a weapon against injustice, a plea for empathy, and a testament to survival. Beyond people, I have always felt a deep connection to animals and their silent suffering. I have spent years rescuing and caring for abandoned animals, often documenting the heartbreaking yet beautiful relationships between the homeless and their loyal companions. Just as I seek to give a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves among humans, I extend the same compassion to the creatures who suffer unnoticed.
