Lee Ziegler is an emerging fine art photographer based in Edmonton, Alberta, whose work delves into themes of identity, culture, and community. Initially introduced to photography through a visual communications program in 2015, Lee refined his craft over the years while pursuing formal training at Toronto Film School. His passion for photography was reignited in 2024, culminating in the launch of his professional career specializing in event and portrait photography. As a gay man living with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, Lee uses his unique perspective to create evocative art that challenges societal norms and amplifies marginalized voices. His debut series, HUSH, explores the repression of 2SLGBTQIA+ culture and the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals in less-accepting environments. Collaborating with two trans models, Lee captures vulnerability, resilience, and hope in each frame. Lee’s goal is to use fine art photography as a platform for advocacy and visibility, shedding light on underrepresented issues within the LGBTQ+ community while building bridges of understanding and empathy.
