Noémie Baumann is a French visual artist with Italian and Eastern European roots. After living in New York, Berlin, Milan, Moscow, and Paris, she is now based in Nice. ​ Initially fascinated by the rigour of architecture, she turned toward the organic forms of nature, finding in the sea a living muse whose essence she seeks to capture. For her, the ocean is both a poetic and political space — a realm for contemplation and a call to preserve a world in constant transformation. ​ Photography is a starting point in Noémie’s practice. What drives her is the exploration of thresholds: between image and object, analog and digital, two and three dimensions, reality and imagination, visible and invisible, representation and matter. ​ Through a multidisciplinary approach, she seeks to offer a perceptual, almost immersive experience — where the image is not only seen but felt and inhabited.
