Olga Shatokha (b. 1990, Dnipro, Ukraine) is a photographer whose work explores themes of memory, home, and belonging. Based in Lisbon since 2019, her practice bridges the worlds of commercial photography and conceptual art, blending visual storytelling with a deeply personal narrative approach. Olga’s journey into photography began in her teenage years, driven by a fascination with capturing the intangible — moments, emotions, and fragments of time. Her work is informed by her Ukrainian heritage and shaped by the cultural influences of her current home in Portugal. Through her lens, Olga examines the delicate intersections between personal identity and collective experience, creating images that evoke a sense of place and connection while inviting viewers to reflect on their own stories.
