Born in 1990 in Bogotá, Colombia, I am a dynamic artist and human rights advocate, seamlessly blending the realms of law and art. As a proud recipient of the Open Society Foundations Scholarship, I ventured into the vibrant landscape of New York, where I embarked on a transformative human rights career. Influenced by the principles of the Japanese aesthetic, wabi-sabi, my work is a captivating fusion of asymmetry, simplicity, and a profound connection with the natural world. Guided by the ethos of wabi-sabi, my lens explores themes such as ethics, equality, inclusion, decolonization, consumerism, climate justice, and sustainability. In doing so, I echo the courageous spirit of artists who have challenged conventions throughout history. My photography serves as a heartfelt tribute to the transformative power of wabi-sabi, unearthing beauty in the ordinary and infusing each image with profound purpose. Every photograph I capture aims to reshape perceptions and inspire a global audience to appreciate the extraordinary within the seemingly mundane. My work is not merely a visual exploration but a call to action, advocating for positive change and inviting viewers to join me on a journey of contemplation and introspection.
