Dr Somdutt Prasad EPSA, AFIP, ER-ISF, GPU-CR2, GPU-VIP2 I have been fascinated with photography from a young age, but in the last decade, I have found more time to dedicate to my passion. I am an eye surgeon, and it is perhaps natural that my interest in the visual sciences attracts me towards photography. We share the planet with many species, and whilst photography documents them and their behaviour, I see it as part of a wider effort to raise awareness and help conservation efforts. We need to preserve our planet, not only for ourselves, but for all the species with whom we share it. I am a member of various photographic societies, including The Federation of Indian Photography (FIP), The Photography Society of America (PSA), The Royal Photographic Society (RPS), the Global Photographic Unioun (GPU) and Image Sans Frontieres (ISF) amongst others and have had the honour of achieving various distinctions from them.
