My name is Thomas Stephan, born in 1970. I am self-taught and have been enthusiastic about photography in almost all its facets for over two decades. My focus today is the love of people photography, but I am also involved in street photography and abstract photography. For more than ten years I have been freelancing photography on a semi-professional level. For me photography is an art form that has the potential to touch people emotionally. Just like the person behind the camera, the person in front of it is also significantly involved in the process of creation. This can be a very deep experience for both of them. It is not uncommon for me to experience that a photo directly contributes to the fact that the person portrayed sees himself in a different light from now on and gains self-respect. As a photographer, I have also developed my character in parallel with the development of my photography. The enthusiasm for human beauty and the fascination emanating from light have shaped me and changed my way of seeing. And the viewer of the finished photo is also involved in the creation of a photography and his pictorial statement through his interpretation of what he sees, which he makes always against the background of his individual experiences.
