    Judge: Martin Parr

One of the most influential photographers of our time and a master of the ‘unposed’ image, Martin Parr is renowned for iconic color-rich images that capture the idiosyncrasies of society with exceptional wit and candor. A true chronicler of our age, his photographic projects take an intimate, satirical, and anthropological look at aspects of modern life.

Parr has been a member of Magnum Photos since 1994 and served as president from 2013 – 2017. Over the years he has published some 40 solo photobooks and featured in around 80 exhibitions worldwide. He also acts as a curator and editor. He has curated two photography festivals and served as artistic director of the 2004 edition of the Rencontres d’Arles. In 2014, he opened the Martin Parr Foundation in Bristol, UK, which houses his vast archive, alongside exhibitions featuring the work of up-and-coming photographers.
