This image was taken at sunset at Lake Eildon in Australia. The circle is made using a light I had attached to a drone and exposed for 20 seconds. I used a 1000 Nd to cut out a lot of the light from the sunset to expose it long enough to complete a circle with the drone. The tree is actually in the lake. © Adam mulholland

“Traditional fishing festival” - Bangladesh
Hundreds of fishermen can be seen catching fish early in the morning at Ruhul Bill in Bhangura, Pabna. During the dry season, the water in the Haor and Beel dries up. The village people use a special fishing gear made of bamboo and a net. It is also regionally known as Baut Utsav. “Chaos at the Mara River” - Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
Buffaloes are crossing the Mara river during the wildbeast migration. Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. This crossing usually occurs at Mara River around late July to August with parts of September and again on their return south, around the last two weeks of October through early November. © Jeff Beatty

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” — John 1:1 Amen is a photographic project born from the sense that faith has become a foreign land in the contemporary world. Inspired by fragments of the Bible, the project longs to restore an emotional connection with the Word—not as religious doctrine, but as inner truth. Composed of raw landscapes, restrained portraits, and isolated symbols, the work maps a territory where belonging and belief feel distant yet necessary. Like a play unfolding on the stage of life, Amen invites viewers to witness a silent spectacle—a procession of images where dialogues are muted and lessons are revealed only through feeling. In this procession, every photograph is a suspended act in the evolving drama between spirit and flesh, doubt and hope. This series emerges from a personal longing—to make peace with the past, to find forgiveness, and to understand what faith still means today. Amen is not about preaching or teaching. It’s about searching for a connection that words alone cannot restore. And when the final word is spoken not by us, but through us, will it sound like an Amen? © Dimitri Stefanov

“Ink of the Night” - Munich, Germany
An image part of my newly published book “City Surfers”, a photographic homage to the wave dancers of the Eisbach in Munich. I dedicated this work to the tireless artists of urban surfing—those who bring a world-famous river wave to life in the heart of the city. Since January 2021, I have photographed them at all times of day and night, across all seasons, creating a visual document of this unique urban phenomenon. © Susanne Bartels
