Color Photography Award Editors’ Picks of April 2025

Following last month’s color photography award, judged by esteemed Spanish photographer Pia Riverola, our editorial team is delighted to showcase some remarkable competition entries that, while not finalists, impressed us deeply with their creativity and artistry.

“Land of Sin-esthesia” - Death Valley, California, USA
“Land of Sin-esthesia”, I drink the elixir of melodie’s Colors fill my lungs, my heart, my mind, my body, and soul. Letting the enigma of spectrums lift my wings higher and higher. Illuminating my eyes full of boundless tonalities. The land of my third eye Synesthesia colors and shapes inspired by Florence and the Machine, “Dog Days Are Over”. This photograph was taken in Death Valley, representing my synesthesia. Music makes me see colors and shapes. I find shapes in nature, and paint them in my post processing to the song I listen to. © Jerad Armijo
