“Rider of the Sky” - Kyrgyzstan
A dramatic and powerful depiction of a Kyrgyz Bürkütchü (eagle hunter). Against a bright, cloud-filled sky and the backdrop of the Tian Shan mountains, the hunter is captured in a moment of intense control as his horse rears up, while his magnificent Golden Eagle spreads its wings on his gauntleted arm. This image is an homage to the ancient art of Salbuurun (traditional hunting with birds of prey), illustrating the raw energy and deep bond between man, horse, and bird. © Héctor Ruiz Golobart

“Rabari” - Gujarat, India
In Ahmedabad, the capital of the region, thanks to some local contacts, I was able to visit the schools and attend classes, discover the hidden architecture of ancient and fascinating stepped wells, and then savor the chaos of the Indian slums. Gujarat with a thousand faces has astounded us with the maritime cities and the incredible holy cities, places where the pyres for the cremation of the dead burn in the middle of the shores of the Arabian Sea in a silent and surreal ritual. Our journey has led us to discover an exciting succession of unexpected encounters, abandoned villages and nomad caravans living in the desert area called Kutch, the northernmost area of the country, arid, inhospitable, Martian, inhabited by different tribes like Rabari and Jat with clear traits of the highlands. The wrinkles on their faces are as deep as the borders that divide India and Pakistan here a few kilometers away. © Nicola Ducati

“Asala” - Lagos, Nigeria
Analog portrait of a street child in Lagos, Nigeria. He sells African nuts endemic to the country, called “Asala”. This fruit is known for its health benefits, particularly for the skin, for the heart, type 2 diabetes, stress, and hypertension, and for sperm and ovulation problems. To be eaten and shelled, the fruit must be cooked in water, which is why condensation can be seen in the bags. Each batch is sold for 500 naira (just under 30 euros cents) to passersby, but especially to motorists stuck in traffic. © Christophe Moec
