Émotions à Nu A photography project by Joana Choumali

“Being naked
this is nothing to hide
Words are not even needed
Because the body speaks for itself.”
– Victor Lévy Beaulieu

“Émotions à nu” is a series of female portraits, each without a face. These photos are an attempt to convey the “naked truth”: human, beautifully unadorned, without makeup
– Women are plural. They are fragile. They are strong.

This series is an intimate journey, an outreach into the emotional state of another. It is a quiet quest, a path to balance. It is about physical and emotional self-acceptance, and serenity.
