street photography, colorful images with high contrast and shadows in Ghana, Africa, by ivan Margot

Ghana A photography project by Ivan Margot

“I first discovered Ghana when I came across the magnificent photos of Magnum Photographer Nikos Economopoulos. It made such an incredible impression on me that I promised myself that one day I would photograph in Ghana.

In Accra there are neighbourhoods comprising of young people who are looking for better jobs, which are not easy to find. Many Ghanaians have had to emigrate to neighbouring countries for this reason.

But now, with the Ghanaian economy on the rise, the youth can return to the search for better opportunities that their home country now provides them.”
