Biography
Cody Cobb is an American photographer, hiker and explorer whose photography attempts to capture portraits of the Earth’s surface devoid of human interaction and interference.
Searching for seemingly untouched nature, Cobb’s focus has mostly been on the American West, working in both film and digital to capture brief moments of stillness from the chaos of nature and carefully composing with natural light.
“The American West has exposed me to such incredibly diverse landscapes. I can walk along rugged coastlines, glaciated valleys, exposed ridgelines, dense old-growth forests, lava tubes, rivers, deserts, glaciers, canyons, etc. I prefer the more isolated and remote areas but even popular places like Yosemite NP are exciting to me.”
