Magic Tragic A photography project by Inge Van Heerde

What is normal? What isn’t? and who gets to decide?

“Normality is often perceived as something recognisable by many and something that isn’t quite recognisable can easily be labeled abnormal and misfit.

When the question of normality comes to people we can see that a great many are often struggling to fit a certain bodice. To me this seems unnecessary: I want to show the struggle but also the relief.

The blue color is a leitmotiv throughout all my photographic work.

In magic it’s the color of the soul, wisdom, trust, hope, inner peace, power, idealism and justice.”
