PNG is one of the most tribally diverse countries on Earth with in excess of 800 languages spoken. Every year the Papuans celebrate their tribal heritage with festivals known as 'Sing Sings'. I went to a small one on the incredible Sepik river in the north and also to the Mount Hagen festival. They have elaborate body paint and use the most incredible colours to paint their bodies and faces. Huli Wigmen, Asaro Mudmen, Chimbu or skeleton men are amongst the many represented. Simply an incredible spectacle.
