Candid street photo in Varanasi, India at sunrise by Nese Ari

Street Photography Award Editors’ Picks of March 2024

Following the results of last month’s street photography award, judged by world-renowned Magnum photographer Nikos Economopoulos, we would like to share some of the competition entries that didn’t make the final selection but nevertheless, we believe, are deserving of exposure.

From candid glimpses of everyday life in the Indian city of Varanasi to a New Year’s celebration in Southern China, and a surreal London street scene, these diverse images, captured across the globe, exhibit creativity, skill, and vision, and demonstrate the enduring power and appeal of this wonderful genre.
