Surface echo $NewDate; ?> A photography project by Andrew Ross
Exploring the earth’s remote corners to capture the natural colors of unique places.
Hailing from the coastal city of Durban, Andrew Ross is a South African photographer whose work aims to create simplistic yet vast images that highlight the environment in which they were taken. The mood in Andrew’s photographs is emphasised by the colours that he captures which helps to heighten the viewers perception of the scene.
“I have been fortunate to explore many parts of the planet over the last two years, documenting and portraying some of the most beautiful places this world has to offer. The images I managed to capture represent some of the simplistic yet vast scenes found on the earth’s surface.
Mostly drawn to the colour that sunlight creates in a landscape, I try to fill the frame with a scene that questions the viewers’ perception of the real versus the surreal highlighting a simple subject amongst a measureless landscape. ” – Andrew Ross
