Landscape Award Editors’ Picks of November 2025

Last month’s Landscape Award, overseen by world-renowned National Geographic photographer Jim Richardson, showcased some truly remarkable winners and finalists. But the story doesn’t end there! We’re excited to present a gallery of extraordinary images that, while undoubtedly beautiful, just missed the final cut.

Snow-covered trees stand like frozen sentinels across the wintry terrain of northern Finland; tufts of golden grass punctuate the dry Andean plain as a lone volcanic peak rises beneath sweeping, otherworldly clouds; scarlet poppies ripple across rolling Tuscan hills as cypress-lined ridges glow in the warm, slanting light; and traffic trails sweep like glowing ribbons across Bixby Bridge, its soaring arch watching over the rugged California coast as dawn settles softly over the Pacific.

The quality of submissions was truly breathtaking, and we’re so grateful to everyone who shared their vision with us. Thank you for being so passionate about capturing the diverse beauty of our world!

Published December 17, 2025 - Congratulations to all selected artists: Anneke Vande Voorde, Charles Barbe, Collin Toews, David Shedlarz, HaeJoon Shin, Hernan E Calderon Velasco, Jeremy Elder, Lauren Puyleart, Mario Walker, Michael Schmidmeister, Sergi Mateos, Yannis Larios,
