“A Window Without a Wall”
This photograph explores the blurred line between reality and imagination. This photograph depicts a teenage girl immersed in a virtual universe while holding a very real flower in her hands. This contrast between the tangible and the intangible perfectly symbolizes the state of waking dreaming: the body remains here, in the physical world, while the mind escapes elsewhere, into an alternate reality. And the title of the photo, “Window Without Walls,” evokes an opening to another world, a waking dream where one escapes without leaving one’s place, where the real and the unreal merge. The clouds in the background reinforce this impression of floating, of lightness, as if the body remains here while the soul travels. The image thus embodies a contemporary vision of lucid dreaming: gentle, silent, and profoundly human. © Valentina Acrement

“Masha” - Russia
Photo taken in Feb 2025 whilst spending 10 days in the Russian Arctic. Masha (Maria) belongs to the Nenets nomadic community. They inhabit the tundra, a stunning but extremely cold place, battered by harsh winds and covered mostly in permafrost. The Nenets are reindeer herders. Masha is here collecting snow to boil and use for drinking and cooking. © Mark Muscat de Celis

“Misty Margate” - Margate Beach, England
As Emerson emerged from the mist on Margate Beach during a cold winter morning in January (2025), his vibrant clothing and bicycle created a striking contrast against the soft, foggy backdrop. This scene felt like something straight out of a children’s adventure book, full of mystery and possibility. The coastal atmosphere, combined with the burst of colour from Emerson’s attire, made for a uniquely enchanting moment, which also felt singular and rare for my seaside project. © Ben Hickling

“Friends” - Ethiopia, 2020
In the heart of Ethiopia’s Omo Valley, the Surma people carry on a living art form rooted in nature. Every day, they transform their bodies into vibrant canvases, drawing inspiration from the wild beauty that surrounds them — exotic flowers, towering trees, and the fertile land they call home. With colors made from crushed minerals — reds, ochres, yellows, and whites — and adorned with leaves, berries, and blossoms, they paint patterns that echo the markings of animals and the rhythms of their environment. What once served to protect against sun and insects during hunts has evolved into a stunning expression of creativity, identity, and connection to Mother Earth. These three friends created their own visual symphony, layering dots, stripes, and natural motifs into something entirely their own — ephemeral fashion born from the soil, the forest, and imagination. © Jacopo Maria Della Valle

I met Amandine in the street at the beginning of the month and I thought she radiated, her smile, her presence, her look, everything about her is luminous, it’s as if she gave off a lot of light herself and you can see it with your eyes if you took the chance to look at her. I wanted to capture this meeting and her personality in this portrait. Beauty is everywhere, in everyone we meet, if we take the time to be interested in them and talk to them. © Mélissa Pottier

“Alphonsine”
'The BEAUTY WE ARE' is a visual dialogue between photographer and subject. This portrait series honors the individuality of the women I photographed—each one unique in her story, spirit, and strength. My goal with this work was to return to the essence of why I entered the world of portrait and fashion photography: connection. In larger editorial settings, that connection can be diluted or lost. With this project, I wanted to strip everything back and focus on the emotional exchange that happens when a subject allows herself to be seen—and on how the camera becomes a bridge between us. Each image is more than a portrait; it is a shared moment of trust and vulnerability, where identity and emotion meet. © Zoe Yalden
