“Wedding in Time of Pandemic” - San Francisco, USA 2020
The photo was taken a few months after the COVID-19 pandemic began in a Church of San Francisco. Printed portraits represent the family and close ones that should have attended the ceremony. But at times of social distancing, the groom and bride walked down the aisle alone.

“Praying #2”- Madison County, North Carolina, USA
A bull rider quietly prays on his own before the rodeo begins. Part of the series “Rodeo Boys”. In 2016 I moved to Madison County, NC. A year later I began photographing at the local rodeo. I went there at first having never been to a rodeo at all. Since then, I have returned countless times to photograph the boys and men that inhabit that mountain top arena every other Saturday night. I’ve been interested in exploring cultures of masculinity and the rodeo proved to be a potent microcosm in that regard. I hope my images provide a nuanced and empathetic eye towards the people I photograph. This is an ongoing project. © Jack Sorokin

Dinosaur Adventure Land - Conecuh County, Alabama, USA 2021
Dinosaur Adventure Land is a Christian campground, science center, and adventure park dedicated to anti-evolution teaching. Its founder and leader, Christian fundamentalist Kent E. Hovind, takes a literalist interpretation of the Genesis creation narrative and promotes discredited Young Earth Creationist theories. Before building DAL in Alabama, Hovind operated a similar theme park in Pensacola and served a ten-year sentence in federal prison for failure to pay taxes, obstructing federal agents, and structuring cash transactions. “Hug” - “Always feel sorry and grateful. I love your mom the most in the world.”
From the series “Men Don’t Cry”. My dad cries a lot these days. When he was a kid, he held his tears to protect himself from people who despised him just because he was an orphan. Once he had a family, he didn’t cry to protect his wife and sons. Now, the tears he held have risen from his feet to the lachrymal gland. When he realized that he couldn’t hold it any longer, the tears were already rowling down on his cheeks. Now I see my dad’s tears. I asked if I could take a photograph while he was crying; “Yes, but don’t show this to your mom” - Even at that moment, he tried to be a ‘man’ © KyeongJun Yang
