Jury's Feedback
1ST PRIZE: Eleni Albarosa
“The visual impact of this image stands exactly opposite from what it describes. Although it appears realistic at first glance, if you observe it more closely, taking into consideration additional parameters, ie color or light, it uncovers a path that leads somewhere beyond the reality it describes. In this case, the emerging reds set a recurrent theme, while the seemingly peaceful family rest is disrupted by the disjointed gazes – all pairs of eyes look in different directions.”— Nikos Economopoulos
2ND PRIZE: Giedo Van der Zwan
“This is a perfectly constructed image – You start reading it from the main subject which is the little girl’s face in the front, and then move to the rest of the frame (the second girl, the flowers behind the head, the hand), everything is in the right place and all the parameters work (ie the parallel axes, the head positions) – however, it ultimately remains an interestingly realistic depiction.” — Nikos Economopoulos
3RD PRIZE: Ayhan Canatan
“A triumph of light and shadow, the photographer has elevated an ordinary moment into a captivating composition. Emerging from the elongated shadows cast by the late afternoon glow, the figures move quietly through their tasks, seemingly oblivious to the feline observer above. Surrounding them, a mosaic of shapes and textures—the crisp lines of the window frames, the variegated hues of the glass panels, and the intricate maritime details. Meanwhile, in the distance, the coastal landscapes blend softly into the golden sky, adding a final stroke to an evocative scene.” – The Independent Photographer Editors
