Jury's Feedback
1ST PRIZE: Federico Borobio
“In a setting where it would be easy to focus on the sparring match, the photographer instead masterfully shifts the narrative, using the fight to frame a coming-of-age story. The young boy, standing at a symbolic crossroads, embodies the quiet tension between innocence and the inevitable struggles ahead. His indifferent gaze, cigarette, and frail posture evoke contemplation about the choices, temptations, and challenges that await. The photograph points to no definite outcome, only a sense of wonder and uncertainty about the paths he might take.”— Jonathan Jasberg
2ND PRIZE: Szymon Lewinski
“This is such a quirky photo, filled with serendipity. Perhaps my favorite aspect of street photography is the uncertainty—you never know what you’ll capture when you head out with your camera. It becomes a spontaneous act of visual improv with whatever the universe offers that day. A woman pausing to read a tourist map, another carrying a blue balloon decorated with clouds, splashes of red, and a green top completing the RGB color trifecta—elements that might otherwise go unnoticed. But by tossing out the rule book and capturing the scene from a spontaneous yet precise angle, the photographer has created a truly one-of-a-kind image.” — Jonathan Jasberg
3RD PRIZE: Gil Kreslavsky
“A stunning image capturing a quiet moment of everyday life in India. Rich in symmetry and layers, it has a serene, almost meditative atmosphere, the ancient structure, combined with the absence of modern elements—a rarity today—imbues the scene with a timeless quality. Reminiscent of the work of great Indian photographers like Raghubir Singh, it captures some of what makes the country unique, demonstrating why it is a beloved subject for street photographers everywhere”. – The Independent Photographer Editors
